Overview
Owatrol Blocking Primer is a specialised protective primer crafted for surfaces susceptible to acids, particularly those treated with Rust Spirit, Copper Spirit, or Bronze Spirit. Designed to prevent acid attacks, the primer forms a barrier that shields the surface, ensuring that wood tannins are contained and do not bleed into the final finish. Additionally, it effectively prevents the softening of sensitive plastics, providing comprehensive protection for a variety of substrates to ensure the longevity and integrity of your finishes.

Preparation
- Surfaces must be in good sound condition, clean, dry and free of all grease, oil and other surface contamination.
- Meticulously clean surface using a suitable cleaning agent depending on the substrate and contamination.
- Allow to dry.
- Sand bare wood surfaces with 80-100 grit paper. Thoroughly dust off.
- Prime plastics (except Polyethylene and Polypropylene) with Absolute Primer.
Application
- Use as is. Do not thin.
- Stir or shake well before use
- Apply a coat of Blocking Primer.
